Within a school culture of pride and ownership, Firebaugh High School will prepare students to be successful at a four-year college or university. Firebaugh's mission will be accomplished through the actions and responsibilities of:
Staff who:
- Continue to grow professionally, align teaching to state standards, and provide appropriate and challenging learning opportunities to diverse students
- Collaborate reflectively in professional learning communities
- Know that high performance is expected of all who work and learn here, and acknowledge this regularly
- Celebrate small, progressive gains regularly
Students who:
- Are self-disciplined, confident in their abilities, and actively engage in learning within and beyond the schools walls
- Are willing to accept new thoughts and ideas, and understand the importance of showing compassion to others
- Recognize their responsibilities and are able to plan their own academic and social calendars
Parents who:
- Communicate collaboratively with the school and support its vision and mission
- Are aware of their child's progress, graduation, and higher education requirements
- Are involved in the functions, committees, and volunteer opportunities of the school
- Continue to grow as global citizens
Stakeholders who:
- Form solid partnership with the school and maintain continuous collaboration for high academic achievement
An Environment that:
- Is Safe, orderly, conducive to learning, and continuously monitored
- Has appropriate and sufficient materials and resources to facilitate teaching and learning
- Has a greater number of students graduating each year
