It is with great honor and excitement that I introduce myself, Jose Montes, as the new principal at Firebaugh High School. I began my journey at the Lynwood Unified School District as a student, completing my K-12 education at LUSD. As a graduate of the Lynwood Unified School District, I am especially excited to work alongside the families and community members who make Firebaugh High School an amazing place for our students to learn and flourish.
I began my career at LUSD as an Instructional Assistant and over the last 24 years I have served as a teacher, instructional lead, assistant principal, and now principal. In each of these roles, I have worked diligently to ensure the success of all members of the school community. I believe in the power of a quality education to positively impact the lives of our students and of our community. I also believe that the best results can be accomplished through collaboration and support with our families and community.
I am excited to work alongside the Firebaugh High School community to continue the great work that has been taking place at our school. My goal is to ensure student achievement at Firebaugh High School by supporting our students to reach their highest potential. I will work tirelessly to ensure that Firebaugh High School continues to be a great place to learn.
I look forward to an amazing and productive 2019-2020 school year!
