My name is Bambi Smith and I am the new principal at Firebaugh High School. My staff and I welcome you to the 2018-2019 school year! With your children as our connection, we will spend the year growing and learning, cheering and celebrating, planning and communicating.
We look forward to a year filled with PRIDE as we work together in this educational endeavor.

E – Education: Opens doors for Opportunity
Firebaugh has over a 96% graduation rate, rigorous programs like AP and IB with many students being accepted and continuing onto prestigious colleges. Firebaugh High is an example of what can happen when educators, parents and the community work together in the best interests of children. It is a privilege to work collaboratively with you on ensuring continued growth for our school and meeting each individual student's college and career goals. In addition, with your help, Firebaugh's strong core values, academic, athletic, social and service activities, will continue to exceed our highest expectations.
We value a solid partnership with each family and I want to personally invite you to take an active role in your child’s education. There are many opportunities for you to participate, ranging from being a parent volunteer to membership on one of our school site councils. You can dedicate as little or as much time as your personal schedule allows.
Communication will be crucial for us to meet our goals and it will be a priority at Firebaugh to continue to build current and relevant avenues of communication. We will work hard to ensure you are continuously informed of all aspects of our school through notices sent electronically and in hard copy as well as through our school website. We kindly ask you please take the time to read all school notices to stay informed on events & activities and any safety precautions happening at FHS.
